Location: Old Town Recreation Center, 342 Bennoch Road, Stillwater, ME 04489. AEP Hours are available Monday – Friday from 2:30 PM – 5:30 PMNEW THIS YEAR: Late Pickups AFTER 5:45pm will be an extra $5.00 fee added onto your daily total. Every 15 minutes after 5:45pm, will add an extra $5.00 to that day.  These FUN, encouraging and interactive programs are designed for children (Kindergarten through 8th grade) to provide safety, enrichment and healthy exercise to keep your child active!AEP participants are transported by bus from Old Town Elementary and Leonard Middle School directly to our front door. Van transportation is available for Bradley (Viola Rand School), Milford (Dr. Lewis Libby School), and Orono (Asa Adams School) Schools. We begin our daily program with a quick “check in” about their day at school and provide a healthy snack for our campers to fuel up – then let the games/activities begin! Foil Fencing for Youth (Level 1)Youth are introduced to the martial art and sport of foil fencing. Swordplay has been a martial art for centuries and is today the modern sport of fencing. Fencing is fun, mentally challenging and great exercise for kids. This six week, introductory class in foil fencing will teach kids the basic skills of fencing: safety, basic footwork, blade work, and essential rules of play for bouting. All fencing equipment will be provided for the course. What youth should wear: wear pants covering legs (jeans, wind pants, sweats are fine. lycra, tights or yoga pants are too thin), wear athletic shoes (no sandals or flip-flops). A water bottle is recommended.Fencing for Youth (Level 2)This six week Level 2 class is designed to improve kids skills and reinforce basic skills of foil, epee or saber fencing including: low-line and circular parries, phrasing, preparations on the blade, next level footwork, and bouting strategies. Foil Fencing for Youth (Level 1)Youth are introduced to the martial art and sport of foil fencing. Swordplay has been a martial art for centuries and is today the modern sport of fencing. Fencing is fun, mentally challenging and great exercise for kids. This six week, introductory class in foil fencing will teach kids the basic skills of fencing: safety, basic footwork, blade work, and essential rules of play for bouting. All fencing equipment will be provided for the course. What youth should wear: wear pants covering legs (jeans, wind pants, sweats are fine. lycra, tights or yoga pants are too thin), wear athletic shoes (no sandals or flip-flops). A water bottle is recommended.Fencing for Youth (Level 2)This six week Level 2 class is designed to improve kids skills and reinforce basic skills of foil, epee or saber fencing including: low-line and circular parries, phrasing, preparations on the blade, next level footwork, and bouting strategies. Foil Fencing for Youth (Level 1)Youth are introduced to the martial art and sport of foil fencing. Swordplay has been a martial art for centuries and is today the modern sport of fencing. Fencing is fun, mentally challenging and great exercise for kids. This six week, introductory class in foil fencing will teach kids the basic skills of fencing: safety, basic footwork, blade work, and essential rules of play for bouting. All fencing equipment will be provided for the course. What youth should wear: wear pants covering legs (jeans, wind pants, sweats are fine. lycra, tights or yoga pants are too thin), wear athletic shoes (no sandals or flip-flops). A water bottle is recommended.Fencing for Youth (Level 2)This six week Level 2 class is designed to improve kids skills and reinforce basic skills of foil, epee or saber fencing including: low-line and circular parries, phrasing, preparations on the blade, next level footwork, and bouting strategies. Location: Old Town Recreation Center, 342 Bennoch Road, Stillwater, ME 04489. AEP Hours are available Monday – Friday from 2:30 PM – 5:30 PMNEW THIS YEAR: Late Pickups AFTER 5:45pm will be an extra $5.00 fee added onto your daily total. Every 15 minutes after 5:45pm, will add an extra $5.00 to that day.  These FUN, encouraging and interactive programs are designed for children (Kindergarten through 8th grade) to provide safety, enrichment and healthy exercise to keep your child active!AEP participants are transported by bus from Old Town Elementary and Leonard Middle School directly to our front door. Van transportation is available for Bradley (Viola Rand School), Milford (Dr. Lewis Libby School), and Orono (Asa Adams School) Schools. We begin our daily program with a quick “check in” about their day at school and provide a healthy snack for our campers to fuel up – then let the games/activities begin! WE KEEP OUR KIDS BUSY WHILE THEY ARE HERE! Whether it is a special guest, programs through our UMaine partnerships, “Healthy Hometown” activities, or simply a quiet place to get help with homework, we feel that our experienced staff brings safety and encouragement at every turn.
